Field Notes

Description:

Prone, and looks as if it may climb.
Extremely hardy and also has vicious thorns

Habitat:

Inland NSW, semi arid

Notes:

Flowers in November - December, aroma is honeysuckle like.
Austraflora identified this as native pomegranate

I've seen that flower before...just can't pull it out of the old memory banks. Maybe it will come to me.
Wasn't able to keep an eye on them...they are out in the bush. Still don't know what type of shrub it is though.
They sure seem like eggs...and bunches of them. Were you able to keep an eye on them?
Also, what are the yellow lumps....any ideas? Moth or butterfly eggs ??
