Rescued from the street and brought to a local wildlife rescue in Lynnwood, WA

They have to eat a special formula that you can find the ingredients for online, or just buy from a pet store. They can't eat milk from another animal, such as a cow. That will kill them. I wish I'd know that when I was little, and found a bunch after a tornado. One by one they just died.
Some other people had driven up and picked him up on a stick and put him in the bushes. I knew he was too young to be left alone and picked him up and walked my bike home with him nestled in my chest!
It wasn't injured, just young, cold, and alone. It slept in my hand for a while before we could find the proper place to take it.
It was cold and came right up to my open hand. I held it to my belly and it crawled up into my coat and nestled in.
did you just pick it up ? i come across a lot of injured squirrels and have been seriously thinking of taking them to The wildlife hospital. it would be funny to carry a dead squirrel to the hospital! Can be quite confusing.....
