Field Notes

Description:

This tree has large lavender blue flowers in the Spring. The tree seldom has a straight trunk but always leans somehow in it's structure. If the early blooms are nipped by cold winds, it can bloom a second time just not as prolifically. (which happened this year)

Habitat:

A tree commonly seen in the South or semi-tropical areas. I have added a pictuire of it's seed pods.
