Sulphur Orange Tip
Colotis aurora
-0.98, 29.69
Field Notes
Description:
Colotis aurora, the Sulphur Orange Tip or Plain Orange-tip, is a butterfly in the Pieridae family.
Several times I saw these butterflys nectaring at this variety of wild hibiscus. Colours matched!
Habitat:
We stopped the car beside the road after going over a bridge. There was a marshy areal beside the river and this butterfly was nectaring at the flowers there.
Notes:
I think this is near the place where I saw this butterfly. It was between Kyumburo Gorge and Ishasha NP closer to Ishasha NP.
