Hey Gina, Thanks! Are you an entomologist or just a good researcher? Much appreciated! Alice, They eat lot's of aphids as larvae, too. That was good info to get out there...thanks!
Harmonia axyridis-the larvae pass through four instars over 10–14 days, after which pupation occurs. This one is on third instar larva
For those of you that may not know, this is a good bug and you should protect it for when it is full grown it will eat the aphids in your garden and make itself useful.
they look so crazy, i had not yet the chance to see one, thanks for the picture then!
