Field Notes

Description:

Pronghorns stand around 40 inches at the shoulder and can weigh up to 145-150 lbs. They have brown fur on back, neck, front of face, legs and halfway down the sides. The underside up half way on the sides, throat, cheeks and rump are white.

Habitat:

This group of five were seen grazing leisurely about 200 yards from the road we were on. They are found in the open spaces of the plains from Canada to Mexico.

Notes:

Too far off to see many details, but fun to watch as they slowly grazed their way out of sight.
