Description:

Common long-tailed shrike of Africa

Habitat:

tarangire nat park

Notes:

These birds seem to have the uncanny ability to land near you, but backlit. The first picture I managed to lighten enough to get the markings - in part due to a camera settings that does an internal stack to offset the backlighting and in part due to a slight shift in location on the bird's part after we'd sat watching other species
