Field Notes

Description:

Some species of Orbweaver in the genus Neoscona, its mostly brown with a tan line going across the abdomen. The other specimen seems to be darker in coloration.

Habitat:

Found on an ampalaya (bitter gourd) plantation that's off season.

Notes:

The 2nd and 3rd photo is a different specimen but I believe is the same species, as you can see it has caught a small moth for dinner. I was confuse for a while trying to identify this spider, it might just be Neoscona molemensis with an odd pattern and coloration.
