Field Notes

Description:

rare, large canopy lizard, males to 5.6" with a total length of 16.9"

Habitat:

lowland rainforest

Notes:

My first time seeing this rare species was at Guayacan Forest Reserve. It was on a small branch at a low height which is a bit unusual for its normal behaviour. It's usually found in the canopy and on trunks of large trees with its head facing down but here it was facing the other way.
