Description:

This is a medium size rodent that is quite mobile, scurrying from trees to the ground while selecting food and nuts for storage to carry it though the winter months.

Habitat:

This species predominates in the eastern and midwestern United States and in the eastern provinces of Canada

Notes:

There are, by some accounts, over one hundred species of tree squirrels.
