Notes:

This is a Costa Rican variety that has a bitter pre-fruit that is yellow in color, (the fruit, of course being the "nut"). It is used to make a jam. I understand that other varieties have a red pre-fruit that is sweet...that's all I know...

Were you able to get a glimpse...not particularly good shots. The flowers have all fallen off on the ground, underneath. I'll let you know how the nuts taste!

Yes Dan, they are in my orchard...I can go out and get a better shot...some may still be on the tree...give me minute or so...

are you sure those are the flower of the cashew ? I can't find anything like them during a search. any photos of them still on the tree?
