Description:

These file like insects were found in the dense ever green forest of Gannoruwa (forest Reserve ) . There were only few of theses seen aggregated in leaf or two in a shrub like plant.One of our friends got stinged by these creatures !

Wow - this is fantastic. I have never seen this aggregating behaviour in ichneumonids, and I have only seen it a few other times in other parasitic wasps. Quite unusual.
Wow...i doubted it as Ichneumon wasp when i saw this on FB..Nice find Twinno :)
Ichneumonidae are a family within the order Hymenoptera. Insects in this family are commonly called ichneumon wasps.
