Description:

The Buckeye tree pollen is toxic to honey bee larvae.California Buckeye is very harmful to bees.With cumulative exposure,the bees develop paralysis like symptoms. Queen bees may stop laying eggs and even if they did the eggs might not hatch. Bee population is dwindling. The fact that such an important species is endangered, creates a sense of doom. The American Indians used Buckeye leaves for catching Salmon. What is
the use of this tree to the environment?
