Maybe the person who wrote the article never went to Bako? You're right, I didn't find them shy at all either. It's probably one of the best places to see Bearded Pigs close up.
I read some article saying that the bearded pig of Bako National Park are shy. But when I went to Bako National Park, I found out the pigs are nowhere near shy. Instead, they are not afraid to come close to us.
