Field Notes

Description:

A small hummingbird with mainly green upperparts, a white rump band and a blackish lower rump and tail. Weighs only 3 g! Seen close to the previous spotting.

Habitat:

Montane forest

Notes:

Wikipedia inidicates that in Costa Rica and Panama it is confined to the Caribbean slopes, but this one was spotted closer to the Pacific side.
