Field Notes

Description:

Snowflake morays are one of my favourite reef fish. They have yellow eyes while the snout and mouth is white. Their name comes from the black snowflake shaped markings with yellow centres. Aside from the snowflakes they are speckled white/light yellow.

Notes:

This moray eel was seen hunting together with a grouper. I have previously about this happening, but was still stunned when I saw it happen live. The grouper was more skittish and fled the scene soon after I arrived. The moray however, did not mind me at all.
