Variegated Green Skimmer

i found it hard to take a picture of this little creature here. my friend and i had to place a twig near the water so as to attract it to perch on the twig. whenever i tried to approach it, it just flew away. it finally came to rest on an abandoned pipe and managed to get a close up of it (but still not a very perfect shot).
