Rachel its Nymphaea nouchali what is Asian Purple lotus water based herb. The caerulea specie has pointed petals and find mostly in Africa.

Thanks NayNay! And thank you for the ID ceherzog :) I think I've narrowed down the species to Nymphaea caerulea, other photos on google look very similar!
