Description:

The Limpkin is a somewhat large bird, 66 cm (26 in) long, with a wingspan of about 102 cm (40 in) and a weight of about 1.1 kg (2.4 lb). This bird is easier to hear than see. Its common vocalization is a loud wild wail or scream

Spotted on the St. Johns river near Orange City, FL
