It's tough with some of the sulphurs, especially when they start to get ratty late in the year. I just had one like this that was tricky.
Sorry Aaron.This was the only shot I could get off. After looking at some photos, I agree with the resemblance to cloudless sulphur. But the coloration on the edge of the wings, maybe clouded sulphur (colias philodice)?
I know it's a longshot, but is there any chance you have another shot of the butterfly out from behind the grass?
