I just decided Nudibranches are my favorite sea creature. Amazing! R any of them venomous?
Well... they're cerata, not gills, but they're what it uses to breathe.
It's a silly sounding name, but a sensible one... "Nudi" (from the Latin word meaning naked), and "branch" (from the Latin word for gills). The feathery structures you see protruding from the creature are it's gills, so "naked gills" is a pretty apt characteristic to name it after.
I'd never even heard of these Nudibranch creatures before Project Noah, they're just awesome, like slugs drawn/designed by hippies or coloured-in by children, amazing shapes and colours, just awesome. And such a silly name!
wow, this is so beautiful!unbelievable that evolution leads to this
