Description:

The copperhead is patterned with a series of red-brown bands, or hour-glass -shaped markings, on a pale brown to pink-brown background. The tan-colored head has a pair of small, brown stripe separates the dark crown from the pale lips.

Habitat:

Rocky wooded hillsides.
