Field Notes

Description:

Wasp! Seemed fairly docile/slow.

In the third picture you can see the wasp's tongue (or whatever they have) as it kept tasting the glass.

Wasp was released unharmed, if it's not paying rent, it can't live in my bathroom.

Habitat:

Everywhere you don't want them to be.

I had to go get a cleaner glass because my first few shots were terrible! I've been stung a fair few times so I'm not their number 1 fan, last year we had a nest in the attic which was pretty horrible, this year i put up a fake nest outside my window and none have come in my window since!
Wow, nice close ups! Wasps are probably the only creatures that actually bother me and make me uncomfortable. One buzzed into my bedroom the other day!! He too was not paying rent, and had to be evicted. Oh, and this guy is a common wasp, Vespula vulgaris!
