Description:

Meet Leeroy the duckling killer! This one was only 4.9 m long and stole 5 of my ducklings..We had to relocate it 3 times!

Hello Christiane. All of the Australian mainland Morelia amethistina are now considered Morelia kinghorni (a former subspecies).

WOW, that is one large snake!

Yes he was very heavy.. we had to get him out of the chuck yard first!

He must have been a very heavy snake--did you coax him to slither on his own or have to lift him? Too bad he wouldn't settle for something else to eat. I can appreciate your not wanting to sacrifice so many little lives.

The last time he did not come back.. the first time was 1 km and the 2. time 1.5km but we did not leave him in a dark bin for a while!

That's little over 2 miles. And he found his way back? good vision and sense of smell I guess.

In the end we put Leeroy in a bin over night and drove him 5 km into a national park!

No professional snake catcher needed.. you learn to deal with this visitors on your own!!!

Is that a professional snake catcher on the pic? That python looks big enough to constrict a human! The joys of living in Queensland...

It could have been the best dinner.. but HE/SHE would not get enough!! One would have to been OKAY!! 5 is not fair!!

Yes it was one of the larges I have seen in the wild..
