Thanks, it was on the same walk that I saw a Stoat or Weasel take a rabbit in a group of trees on the canal bank. The photograph was too blurred to use.
Oooh that's definitely a water vole (though they are sometimes also called water rats)! And that's excellent news too, they've suffered severe declines in the UK. What a find!!
