Found it with some chrysalis still on it. Waiting with it till it flies so I can keep the chrysalis shell.

Yup, that sure is a Monarch! There's another butterfly that looks like a monarch, called a Viceroy, but that has an extra black bar going through its wings. So you've spotted yourself a beautiful Monarch :D
