Field Notes
Notes:
The devotees of Lord Ayyappa on Mount Sabari are called 'Swamy'. During their long preparation and fasting for the pilgrimage to Sabarimala (Mount Sabari) they wear black doti (lungi) with thin white border. That similarity could be the reason for us to call this dragonfly 'Swamythumby' (Swamy dragonfly) in Malayalam. :))
