Description:

There are at least 8 species of Pelican in this park, four of them white, and I have not identified them yet.

okay, i guess you're right, i just looked on wikipedia, which said only 2 species. but anyone can post on wikipedia, so they may be wrong i guess :)
Although you are correct with your ID, your information source is incorrect. There are no Pelicans in the wild in Singapore and never have been. The Zoo and bird park do have free-ranging introduced species but they are not truly wild and invariably return for their daily feeding sessions. The bird park currently has 7 of the worlds 8 species, although on our last visit they had all 8. Singapore is a relatively small island and has a number of ornamental parks and lakes which host introduced species which by their nature are free to roam the island or fly to neighbouring islands or the nearby Malay peninsula but so far there have been no reports of breeding outside these parks.
