Sarracinia are native to North America, Nepenthes are purely tropical, native to Southeast Asia and Madagascar. Sarracinia are terrestrial, Nepenthes are usually vines and climbers. The pitchers of Nepenthes are the largest in the world, holding up to 3L of water. There are only 8 -11 species of Sarracina compared to 130 nepenthes. These are some of the major differences. More can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepenthes and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarracenia
