Description:

Despite its very faded color and ripped up wings, it seems to be a spicebush swallowtail. This is one butterfly that has been through a lot. Does anyone agree on the ID?

Habitat:

Woods.

I think it may be the Pipevine swallowtail. The wing shape seems to more closely resemble the Pipevine in that open position. The white dots on the Spicebush go all the way out to the tip and the ones on this one seem to stop before the tip like the Pipevine.
