Sorry guys been away from this page for a couple of years, yes that one was captive in a sanctuary

Beautiful animal. @Christiane I was recently surprised to learn we have endemic, pythons in Victoria. - Morelia spilota ssp. Up to about 3 metres... must be possum and/or bird eaters I guess.

Hello. All of the Australian mainland Morelia amethistina are now considered Morelia kinghorni (a former subspecies).

that particular one was in captivity at Healesville Sanctuary, I don't think I would fancy walking up that close to one in the wild

Where did you spot this on.. I thought you only find them in the far north of Australia?
