Field Notes

Description:

This insect is about 8mm long. I saw it stretching it's oval wings on a stem in the setting sunlight. It looked like it was getting use to it's wings. Multicolored wings. Green eyes and tan body.

Habitat:

Meadows on the Highlands here.

Notes:

I had never seen one before and managed to get one picture before it flew away. It was getting used to it's wings I think, because it was rotating them around like it its first flight.
