Description:

Silver Frog

Habitat:

Lamp on the side of a stucco house.

Notes:

This frog or one just like it was in this same spot all last summer.

This is either a gray treefrog (Hyla versicolor) or a Cope's gray treefrog (Hyla chrysoscelis). Both are found in Ohio and they can't really be told apart in the field except by their call. Both exhibit a wide range of colors and can change colors to match their backgrounds. I've seen gray treefrogs live on lights for an entire summer.
