Lily say thank you. She likes all of the picture she has seen that you have taken. LOL you have a little fan.
That's a cool animal motif. Sure, when I go back to Africa she can use some of my photos, but I'm not sure when that will be. This is a bit of an artsy spotting of a zebra but I added some pics of foal and some wide shots of them in the crater with an approaching storm. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5729562
Lily asked me to ask you that if you go back and see the zebras and get some good pictures can she print them and the Giraffes pictures off? Her room is done in Zebra and Giraffes.
Yeah, they sometimes call them pygmy chimpanzee. They're not very well known and found only in the DR Congo. Would love to see one!
You know Dan, I didn't know about bonobos were one of the species of chimpazees!
For sure Carolina! They are such a unique looking animal and not very well known. I hope I am the first to post a spotting of a wild one.
It's alright! I want to see what other surprises you have for us! But when you go back to Congo, don't forget the okapi! I want a picture of it :)
Unfortunately Carolina, no. They are at the top of my animal wish list for DR Congo, along with bonobo. I know I've been spreading out my types of spottings and still have some interesting surprises, but no okapi. There is a Okapi reserve in eastern DRC that I was told was safe when I was in East Africa but I didn't make it there. Next time! I do have a good book on them, its a bit of a kids book but still good The Okapi by Lindsey, Green and Bennet.
Dan, have you spotted an okapi? I'd like to see one in Project Noah.
When I hear of the Limpopo river I think of Kipling's (How the Elephant got his trunk) Neat Story.
