Yes I thought so too I've never seen one like this before
To me it's just a beautiful Butterfly thanks for your input!!
Please check the ID and add the 2 names: Androgeus Swallowtail and Heraclides androgeus epidaurus.
No, problem! Happens to me as well, happy to find a clue and a match and afterwards... notifying something is wrong... Endemic or not, just a little detail...
Hum, sorry, my mistake about the "endemic". I haven't checked very well.
I agree, Heraclides androgeus epidaunus, Quen Page. However, it is not endemic to Puerto Rico, but found in Central America and the Greater Antilles. http://www.butterfliesofamerica.com/L/imagehtmls/PapPie/04-SRNP-21510-DHJ97352_i.htm http://www.butterfliesofamerica.com/L/imagehtmls/PapPie/Papilio_androgeus_epidaurus_M_MEXICO_VERACRUZ_Orizaba_September_2004_i.htm
Thank you it looked just like this!!
Maybe "Heraclides androgeus", endemic in Puerto Rico.
