This Photo was Taken at At a Local Bird Sanctuary.. The Purpose of The Photo was to Show the Aquatic Diversity of Fresh Water Lakes .. Bluegills are A Important part of the Food Chain of Michigan Waters.. They Number in The Billions & Are Consumed by several species Terrestrial & Aquatic .. These fish were caught & Consumed by Disabled Children from a Lake that allows very Limited fishing Practices. The Disabled Children Many In Wheel Chairs were Allowed to Keep Six Bluegill each for the Shore Lunch..Most of these Children had Never Seen a Fish ... Thank you for your Comment Johan Heyns...
Maybe to eat? My family and I will catch up to that many, freeze the meat and have some delicious dinners. The limit in Indiana is 25 per boat.
Hi Rick, May I make the presumption that these were returned to the water after the photo? If not, can you please explain the purpose of the capture?
