Field Notes

Description:

There are these orange and black cocoon type things on a bush in our yard. We also found orange and black ladybugs.

Habitat:

Bushes in our yard.

Notes:

Interestingly enough, these were found in Murfreesboro, TN, around the same time another Project Noah Citizen Scientist posted similar pictures in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.

Researched and added information. In North america these ladybugs are commonly called the Japanese Ladybug. So maybe it's not so crazy that the same time we found ours in Murfreesboro, TN another Project Noah Citizen Scientist posted similar pictures in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. We posted pictures and information to the Lost Ladybug Project Mission too.
