Description:

Insect with unusual white coloration with spots of various colors in the nymph stage. Called the assassin bug, they prey on caterpillars and harmful garden pests and should find a welcome home in your outdoor space.

Notes:

The Wheel Bug looks like a mechanical device from its long legs that extend in jerky, robot-like motions to the large cog-like structure on its back that gives rise to its name. The nymphs molt up to five times and this bug is related to the Stink Bug and Bed Bug.

Great website. Thanks for your help! It was interesting to note that they are related to stink bugs. I thought he looked similar to one, although much more colorful, as he took a stroll on my impatiens.
