Description:

Tree with red globular blooms. Yellow centers. The leaves are large.

Habitat:

This was in a sunny area.

Notes:

An outdoor Park 15 km West of Antananarivo.

Great, thanks Joseph. I actually keep my fairly short and pruned to encourage to trunk to grow fatter. The swollen base of mine is about 5" in diameter. It flowers all the time too.
Yes Dan leafs are very helpful to identify species of shrubs and herbs correctly.
I will. I did take a picture of the whole tree that had been zealously pruned :) It is now added.
