Thanks Karen and Kathleen. The Varied Thrush is a great bird, I wish they showed up here more often.
Lovely! Like KarenSaxton, I look forward to these in my gardens every winter here in southwestern BC. Here is a link to my snow-eating Varied Thrush! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8554994 I awake each late winter and early spring morning to the one tone flute song of the Varied Thrush:)
One of my favorite "winter" birds - yep I'm a northwesterner. Cool find
Haha ok well to make you feel better about yours, here is mine, http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/17833326 It's cropped and taken through a door haha
Ashley, these Varied Thrushes are a thrill to see and this was my lifer 10 years ago. The picture is ok, but is cropped a lot and you wouldn't want to see it if I enlarged it:-)
One got lost here last winter, he was a lifer for me. Your picture came out way better than mine though haha, great shot!
Thanks gatorfellows.
