Hello ceherzog, Thank you for the english common name. Sometimes I wonder if it would be a nice new feature for project noah to enter multiple different common names for a life-form. The scientific name is the common denominator around the world, but the common name differs in each country or language. Ctenophora flaveolata is called "Yellow-ringed comb-horn cranefly" in UK, "Tipule jaune et noire" in France, "Гребенчатоусых долгоножек" in Russia and I told my young son that this beautiful little insect is called "Kammschnake" in the german speaking world. Best regards
I was curious about that too. It's a cranefly http://www.hlasek.com/ctenophora_flaveolata_aa7524.html Yellow-ringed comb-horn Cranefly Hercule, you could change the common name or I will do it for you if you wish.
Looks like some kind of a queen of some kingdom of beatiful wasps. Is a wasp?
