Description:
Jackfruit is the world's second largest tree fruit, up to 80lbs (34kgs).
One pic is of a cultivated Jackfruit, the other pic is a wild jackfruit, which grow much smaller.
Habitat:
tropics south and southeast Asia, but also East Africa and Brazil
Notes:
This is the largest Jackfruit I have ever seen. I spotted it for sale at a roadside stall near Lake Taal in southern Luzon. The wild jackfruit was spotted in Harau Valley in Sumatra, Indonesia in dec. 2002.
