Description:

This medium-sized goose comes in two color phases. The more common snow goose is white with black wingtips. The "blue goose" is dark with a white head.

Habitat:

They nest on the Canadian and Alaskan tundra and winter in various areas stretching across the United States, especially along the Gulf Coast and Mississippi River Valley.
