Description:

Artichokes most of us know very well. But perhaps not everyone is familiarized with the flowers of this plant. These are really pretty and colorful electric purple blue. They are very attractive to insects, as picture shows.

Habitat:

Orchards, grass fields, prairies. Mediterranean climate.
