Field Notes

Description:

Brown mole cricket 3+ inches long.

Habitat:

I found this guy on the side of the road while walking through a residential area near lake Sempach in central Switzerland. Never saw anything like it before. My limited research has pointed me towards the European mole cricket but this one was huge. Around 3 inches long not counting the feelers. Most places I have read say they are 1-2 inches long.

Notes:

Not sure if I have the scientific name correct. Can anyone tell me if this is right?
