Description:

The Toco Toucan (Ramphastos toco) is the largest and arguably best known species in the toucan family.

Habitat:

It is found in semi-open habitats throughout a large part of central and eastern South America.

Hi Carolina, yes this guy was in a sanctuary. We spent two days at the waterfalls in Iguazu looking for a wild one with no luck and then on our last day in Argentina went to an animal sanctuary and I finally got to see a toucan - worth the wait.
I really really love the first picture. The whole image looks in complete harmony; colors, lighting... Did you take it in a sanctuary? I believe I can see a fence out of focus in the background.

Fabulous, I also love toucans! The brightness and vividness of the photos make this especially pleasing on the eyes :)
