Field Notes

Description:

Hind wing has white tipped tail. Have marginal and discal rows of linked spots, slightly darker than brownish grey background on underside. Discal row of unbroken spots on underside of front wing. It has four black spots at hind wing base. Male upper side bright lavender blue with dark outer border.

Habitat:

Males often more seen on damp patches than on flowers. Females fly low among grasses. It prefers moist wooded areas.
