carolina, i think you are right.. it is a parrot snake (Leptophis ahaetulla). it does not have the pointed snout that other two sport and it has the distinct black stripe along the side of head through the eyes.. so these pins down to parrot snake...
I'm really confused about parrot and vine snakes now... Why there is two snakes named as Green vine snake in english? The Ahaetulla nasuta from Asia and the Oxybelis fulgidus from Central and South America? And the Oxybelis looks really similar to the Leptophis ahaetulla. I'm so confused.
