Oh my I hope I own the Crystal Cove :-) But no, I don't own it. Yeah, you do try Palawan. Make sure you wouldn't miss El Nido.
che sa inyo yung Cristal Cove island resort. Paguwi ko kasi naghahanap ako ng ma papasyalan. iniisip ko Palawan.
pandan(Pandanus amaryllifolius) is the edible, then Pandanus balfourii is i think the genus for your spotting. Try mo ha not too sure.
CherreyMae, oo pandan(Pandanus amaryllifolius) is an edible genus of Screwpine. Just like Dan said there are 600 species of this kind.
I've only been once in 2004/05, but I spent 4 months there and explored 10 islands.
@dandoucette: Yeah, Philippines is really an amazing place. How many times have you been here in the Philippines? @Gina: is the pandanous the pandan that we usually make for buko pandan? Crystal Cove Island is located near Boracay Island. It's an island hopping destination.
Cherreymae try mo to Pandanus balfourii mukhang ito eh. Saan ba yang Crystal Cove Island mukhang napakaganda. Thank you.
Sounds like an amazing place! I really loved traveling in the Philippines.
It's in a tiny island called Crystal Cove in the Philippines. The entire island is privately owned and is made a resort. I was actually standing right in front of the main branch. So I have to crop it.
True, but with 600 species, thats going to be difficult. If you can add more photos of the fruit and size of the tree, that will help. Also was it planted in a garden? I just ask because I see the chair in the background. If so, this could mean, that it's not a native species of the Philippines, making it harder to ID.
Thanks dandoucette. I guess, what we'll have to figure out next is which exact pandanus it is. :-)
this is a type of Screwpine, Pandanus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandanus
