Field Notes

Description:

Males have blue wings and bluish head and brown or white chests. Females have more brown chest and grey wings with a hint of blue in the wings if the light is right.

Habitat:

"A small thrush found in open woodlands, farmlands and orchards, and most recently can be spotted in suburban areas. "

Notes:

These birds swoop and land on the highest thing in the area, Shepard's Hooks, house rain gutters, fences, tops of umbrellas, trellis stakes.
